Foiled Terror Plot Leads To Long Lines

Travelers can expect long lines
at airports following the foiled
terror plot.

Travelers around the world can expect long waits at security checkpoints for the near future as officials in the UK uncovered a terrorist plot that was to use a liquid explosive. UK officials have gone as far to ban all carry on baggage and any type of liquid from being checked.

While carry ons are still allowed in the US the terror alert at all airports has been raised to RED for the first time in the history of the system.
Homeland Security took immediate steps that included barring passengers from carrying liquids, including beverages, hair gels and lotions, on planes. The threat level for the country as a whole remained at yellow, according to the web site for Homeland Security.

People with travel plans are asked to allow extra time to get through security. For airport wait times click here.
